Deposit and program highlights
Deposits are required to be placed on our waitlist (after your puppy questionnaire gets approved). This will be taken off the remaining balance of your puppy fee. The deposit is $300 and non-refundable.
After every litter is born (4-10 days post whelp/delivery), we will contact those starting at the top of the waitlist if they are ready to lock in their puppy spot for a Golden Retriever or F1 Goldendoodle puppy. They will have 24 hours to respond back once a puppy spot is offered. If they want to pass on this litter, we will only contact them once more after the next litter is born.
When puppies are 3 -16 days old, we perform ESI (Early Scent Introduction) and start ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) on the puppies. Throughout different stages of their development, we provide the puppies with daily handling exercises and curriculum activities based on the Badass Breeder method (BAB). These activities challenge/stimulate their senses, enrich their learning, and help build confidence/trust. Puppies are also exposed to our other dogs, new adults (close family or close friends that follow our precautions), and Stephanie's nephews because our puppies frequently go to homes with children and other pets. This is all very beneficial for their development and we want to ensure they have a successful future with their families! This is a great time to plan ahead and purchase everything you will need for your puppy at home. We created a puppy shopping list for you on items we personally use and recommend! Also check out the Do's and Dont's for your new puppy!
After 6 weeks of age, an AKC microchip is implanted into each puppy. We also cover the lifetime enrollment fee for enrolling the microchips to their new owners. We do not remove dewclaws (please visit this page to learn why we don't remove them!).
Between 7-8 weeks of age, the puppies will receive a physical examination by our veterinarian and their first round of vaccines. At this age we complete puppy evaluations to learn more about individual puppy temperament (evaluating their tolerance to touch, prey drive, their sight/noise sensitivity, their confidence/energy level, and more!). These evaluations are emailed to our clients before puppy pick day.
During puppy take home day (8 weeks of age), the puppies will be selected by their new owners in order the deposits were received. They will be identified with the last four digits of the implanted microchip.
We have strict rules that prohibit families from going to dog stores/dog parks for several weeks before/after picking up their puppy due to the risk of getting Parvovirus (often fatal in puppies that are not fully vaccinated). We also require families to remove their shoes, wear shoe covers, or clean their shoes when they arrive on our property. These rules are in place to protect the puppies health (no exceptions).

Puppy price for a family pet (limited registration): $2,900
The cost for a male or female puppy in 2023 with limited registration is $2,900 plus Colorado sales tax. Read below to learn why we charge these rates! Due to increases in veterinary costs and running a business, we may need to raise our rates in the future. Limited registration is designed for people looking for a family pet and have no intention of breeding their dog. We will require all owners to spay/neuter their dog between 18- 26 months of age for health reasons then send verification of that back to the breeder (see puppy contract). You can register your puppy through AKC (American Kennel Club) on limited registration but that same dog cannot produce offspring since they wont be eligible for registration.
A dog that is registered with limited rights is not prevented from entering in events such as, obedience, rally, agility, tracking, field trials, hunting tests, herding, etc.
For more information about limited or full registration, check out Akc.org

Puppy price for full registration (breeding rights): $ TBD
The cost for a male or female puppy with full registration is TBD (ask for current rate) plus Colorado sales tax. Full registration is designed for those that want to breed their dog and produce offspring (see puppy contract). We offer these breeding rights on a individual basis to approved breeders.
Why do we charge these rates?
Breeding involves a lot more financial responsibility, time, and devotion to the breed than most people realize. In addition to all the fees required for health testing, ongoing breeding education, whelping supplies, expenses related to setting up/maintaining fencing/kennels/play areas, supplies needed for Badass Breeder puppy curriculum activities, supplies needed for puppy evaluations, cameras, nutritional supplements, unexpected veterinary expenses, and routine care of each dog, we also invest in a veterinarian that specializes in reproduction, which is called a Theriogenologist (separate from their routine veterinarian). The Theriogenologist follows up on all of our dogs care pre/post whelping (giving birth), performs more specialized tests like progesterone testing, ultrasound, and x-ray images, and helps monitor our dogs individual dietary needs.
Our routine veterinarian performs head to toe assessments and administers vaccines on all of our puppies prior to going to their new homes. They perform yearly annual exams, fecal tests, preventative care, and blood work on all of our adult dogs. We also spend thousands every year to have health insurance for all of our adult dogs. We feel that preventative care is essential for each of our dogs health and wellbeing.
There may be breeders out there that do not offer a health guarantee, do not perform preventative care on their adult dogs, do not perform puppy evaluations, do not take an interest in ongoing breeding education, do not provide daily curriculum activities for their puppies, or do not take the time to screen their dogs for serious conditions that can have detrimental effects on their offspring. Because they do not have the same financial expenses and time commitment as our breeding program requires, these breeders may charge less money for their puppies.
Remember when you purchase a puppy, it is a 10 to 15 year commitment! Our dogs are very special to us, therefore we naturally want to go above and beyond in order to ensure they produce top quality, healthy puppies for our clients.
