"JASPER" On The Rocks
Jasper retired in 2026, but we have a new stud in our program by the name of Ridge. Visit this page to meet Ridge!
Jasper (named after the red stone and national park in Canada) has a vibrant, long, dark red coat. He loves trail running, hiking/snowshoeing with his humans, and snuggle time on the bed or couch. He is motivated to please his humans, human and toy focused, affectionate, has prey drive, and has a high medium energy level with a great off switch inside the house and while out in public places. Jasper is obsessed with his tire toy and takes it everywhere he goes! He weighs between 65-69 lbs.
Because Jasper is extremely obedient and motivated to please his humans, he would have excelled at training towards obediance AKC titles, but his human mom didn't get around to it because she had her hands full with training Mango and Olive for therapy work before Jasper retired. Jasper has produced therapy dogs for our clients in the past!
When Jasper retired, we rehomed him with one of our past clients that got a Jasper puppy from us in 2021. We love Jasper and wanted to keep him, but having two males in the same household made that challenging for us when we added a new stud dog to our program. Males tend to compete with each other when females come into season under the same roof. Since our dogs live in the house with us and spend a lot of time together, it was in Jasper's best interest to find him a new home. Now Japser gets to enjoy the rest of his doggy days playing with his own son. His wonderful family lives close to us so we can visit him anytime!
