Meet The Dogs

"RIDGE" RPG Thistle Rock on Canyon's Ridge

CGC, CGCA, CGCU, TKN, TKI, ATT, VHMA
Ridge came from Canyon Edge Acres in Idaho. When we retired Jasper, we wanted to bring in new lines with great temperaments and generations of health testing/titles to our program. Ridge was exactly what we were looking for and surpassed our expectations by how quickly he made our home his new home. He gets along great with our dogs and grew attached to us from the start! He especially enjoys playing with our youngest dogs. We call him the dog babysitter. Ridge loves car rides, his is very effectionate, athletic, smart, likes to play fetch in our backyard, is very food motivated, and enjoys cuddletime on the couch with us. We took him hiking and he really enjoys that as well. Ridge has this curl to his tongue that we absolutely adore!

Ridge has previously earned 7 AKC titles (Canine Good Citizen, Advanced Canine Good Citizen, Urban Canine Good Citizen, Trick Dog Novice, Trick Dog Intermediate, AKC Temperament Test, and Virtual Home Manners) and has a very well accomplished pedigree! His father earned a MH title (Master Hunter) and his mother earned DCAT title (Dedicated CAT), SWAT title (Scent work Dedective), SWM title (Scent work Master), SHDN title (Scent Work Handle Discrimination Novice), DS title (Dock Senior), CGCA title (Advanced Canine Good Citizen), and CGCU title (Urban Canine Good Citizen).

The previous breeder that raised sweet Ridge said he adored her young children and could excell at rally or agility. She even started taking him to classes for both. Maybe we will explore this further after we finish getting Olive her AKC therapy dog title. Ridge has wonderful athletic abilities but also has a great off switch in the house or when he is out in public. Ridge sired two litters before joining our program and some of his offspring are training to become service animals. One of them is in training as a medical alert dog for POTS syndrome.

Ridge has had extensive health testing in addition to a recent semen analysis (for anyone interested in his stud services). He weighs between 55-57lbs.

"MANGO" On The Rocks, Registered Therapy Dog, THDN, CGC & CGCA
Retired last year, but her daughter, Aspen, is in our prorgam now (see below). Mango was awarded "Therapy Dog of the Month" in May of 2026 for AdventHealth Parker Hospital! Click on this link to read the article!

Mango (named after our favorite fruit) has a dark red coat and we frequently call her "Miss Mango." Her favorite activity to do is hiking with her humans, going on road trips, providing comfort to others during therapy visits, and snuggletime on the bed. She weighs between 54-57lbs. Mango is both human and toy focused, tenderhearted, highly intelligent, confident, and has a medium energy level.

Mango previously earned her CGC and CGCA titles and became a Registered Therapy Dog through Pet Partners when she passed her evaluation. Her human, Stephanie, is her handler and trainer. Stephanie needed to be evaluated alongside Mango and complete an 8 hour dog therapy handler course and test. They previously provided therapy services to patients and staff at AdventHealth Parker hospital together and received a therapy dog title through AKC!

Mango's grandfather, Amos on her mother's side has earned several titles (including HRCH, Hunting Retriever Champion Title) and was rated number 7 in 2021 for the top ten producing sires in the Hunting Retriever Club magazine (third year being ranked). Mango's grandfather, Striker on her father's side is recognized as top ten historical top producing sires for several years per Hunting Retriever Club Magazine. Mango's grandmother, Remi earned the HRCH title. Remi and Hope (Mango's mother) both have health clearances (including excellent OFA certified hips) which got them into the CHIC program.

"OLIVE" On The Rocks, Registered Therapy Dog, CGC & CGCA
Olive (named after the tree) has a red coat with some light feathering under her chest and tail. We frequently call her "little Olive" or "spunky Olive" because she is smaller at 44-48 lbs and has a lot of personality. Olive loves having her belly rubbed and has a strong drive for retrieving toys. Her favorite activities include playing with water (especially the sprinker), playing fetch, going on car rides, hiking with her humans, and cuddle time on the bed. Olive is motivated to please her humans, tenderhearted, athletic, confident, smart, very human focused, and has a medium energy level.

Olive previously earned her CGC and CGCA titles and became a Registered Therapy Dog through Pet Partners when she passed her evaluation. Her human, Stephanie, is her handler and trainer. They are currently providing therapy services at a local hospital and plan to work towards the AKC therapy dog title in 2026! Some of the staff and patients at the hospital have nicknamed her the "little red head."

Olives grandmother, Kyrstal was top ten producing dams in the HRC magazine in 2021. On her mothers side, Stiker and Remi are HRCH champions and on her fathers side there are some master hunter titles. Olive's parents and grandparents from both sides of her family are CHIC certified, which means they had done all the necessary clearances that OFA requies. The grandmother, Kystal, on her mothers side also has a excellent hip rating similar to Olive.

"ASPEN" On The Rocks, CGC & CGCA
Aspen (named after our favorite season when we see fall colors) is the daughter of Mango and Jasper. She is the first dog we kept back from our own lines! It was very exciting for us to watch her grow up from the moment she was born. Aspen's dog mother, Mango, and human mom, Stephanie, received their AKC dog therapy title together while volunteerring as a dog therapy team for a local hospital. Aspen previously earned her CGC and CGCA titles and her human mom trained her.

Aspen's beautiful red coat looks very similar to her father's and she weighs between 53-56 lbs. We nickname her mini Jasper because her physical features remind us a lot of her father. She is very expressive with her tail when she gets excited and we find that adorable! Her favorite activity is chilling in the hammock and going on day drips or hiking with us. At the end of the day, she wants to snuggle with us on the coach. Even when we stop petting her, she will just lay on our lap for hours! Aspen has a medium energy level, is human and toy focused, and is motivated to please her humans. Everytime we take her out in public, people ask if she is a Irish setter!

Aspen's parents both have excellent OFA hips and are CHIC certified, which means they had done all the necessary clearances that OFA requies. On her mothers side, there are titles earned in her pedigree including HRCH (Hunting Retriever Chamption title), JH (Junior hunting title), MH (Master hunting title), and FC (Field Champion).
